On Sunday, June 5, 2011, Princess Madeleine of Sweden was the guest of honor at the opening ceremony for the Sven Gunnarsson and Jonas Nilsson New Sweden gallery at the American Swedish Historical Museum in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She had to leave shortly after the ceremony in order to fly back to Sweden to join her family for the National Day of Sweden (Sveriges nationaldag) celebration in Stockholm the next day: svt.se svt.se By the time she left the museum, it was probably nearly eleven-thirty pm Stockholm time, so hopefully she was able to get some sleep on the plane!
